If it can be helped, destroy the stairs and use sheet ropes to gain access to higher levels. For some reason, sleeping in your base with NPCs sometimes causes them to randomly die if they climb stairs in the area. You need to create a designated food area for your survivors that is separate from where you store everything else. So typically on the floor or in a crate will do. i'm guessing you know how to designate areas but if not i think you right click, pick the area that you want to make, left click and drag until you see a yellow marker showing you the area, and then right click again and click "set ... You will have to click on the survivors and tell them what work they have to do. To collect wood, farming, base area, stack corpses, and few other jobs you need to designate an area for that. Yes survivors can turn from a bite, sadly. But if you press ENTER on the numpad you can spawn another wife 🥳. If you are bitten you will die. There is not question about it. superb survivor MOD bugged. on a 7 day run with superb mod enabled. dunno if i am doing something wrong but when i order one of my survivors to do something they don't do it or they randomly end up somewhere in town. i call them over, they don't come.
